What we collect

To run your account, fulfil your orders, and keep your downloads working, we collect the information you give us at sign-up, the records we create when you use MuseBazaar, and the technical signals your browser leaves behind when you load a page.

• Account information: the email address, name, and password you provide when you create an account.
• Order records: the items you buy, the prices you pay, and the receipts we issue.
• Download activity: which files you download and when, so we can help you recover access and detect unusual behaviour.

How we use your information

We use this information to operate your account, process payments, deliver the files you buy, send the transactional messages that go with each purchase, and keep the marketplace safe from abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

Payment processing

Card payments are handled by Stripe. Card data is collected and processed on Stripe's pages and servers; it is not stored by MuseBazaar. We keep the result of each payment — whether it succeeded, what you bought, and when — so we can issue receipts, help with disputes, and meet our tax obligations.

Cookies and local storage

We keep the session that lets you stay signed in through a single cookie. On your device, we also use the browser's built-in storage to remember a few things between visits: the wishlist you build, the theme you pick, and your recent cart count. None of this leaves your browser.

Data retention

We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can answer support questions, honour refund windows, and meet the bookkeeping rules that apply to us. Download history can be cleared from your account at any time.

Your rights

You can update the personal information on your account, ask for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete the account and its records. Some records — completed payment receipts, in particular — need to stay on file for tax and audit reasons; we will explain what we can and cannot remove when you ask.
